  • To cover up any areas of your scalp that may be thinning or totally bald, many people use powders meant to mimic the look of hair. Your follicle will get very clogged and suffocate, creating more hair loss,” she notes. Instead, she recommends using it once or twice a week at most.

  • Aloe has a similar pH level to your hair's natural pH level, a high water content, and is filled with vitamins and minerals. Penny James, says aloe contains 75 active ingredients like "essential amino acids and minerals like copper and zinc that have been clinically proven to help with healthy hair and hair growth.   • Everyone sheds some hair every day—about 50 to 100 strands—but how do you know what's normal?
